Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) located in McKinney, Texas is looking to hire 6-10 individuals to help with the construction of a mitigation wetland cell in Corpus Christi, Texas. The individuals will be needed for a 10 day period in the first two weeks of August (yes, you will have to work over the weekend). Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a drug test. IES will pay for the drug screen. Pay begins at $15/hour based on experience. The selected individuals will receive per diem for food expenses and a hotel will be provided for the duration of the work. IES employees will take company vehicles from McKinney to Corpus Christi so the selected applicants will be able to join if they are fine not having a vehicle during the 10 days. Job duties include, but are not limited to: harvesting, transporting, and planting wetland plants, seed bed prep, ATV and vehicle operation, possible equipment operation if qualified, etc. Work conditions will be very hot and long days are possible. A cooling station with fans and cold drinks will be provided during break periods. A positive attitude and excellent work ethic would be ideal. The applicants will be able to gain experience identifying wetland related plants, learning planting and transplanting methods used in mitigation/restoration plans in the industry, understanding the species specific conditions required for plants to succeed, and gain insight into the overall mitigation process.
